Embrace one of the final driving holiday of the year with an unforgettable journey through Scotland’s breathtaking Western Coast, Isle of Mull, and Isle of Bute. Starting September 5th in the historic distillery town of Oban, this tour promises spectacular scenery, coastal castles, and excellent company. Highlights include exploring the colourful town of Tobermory, discovering the dramatic Kintyre peninsula, and visiting the stunning Mount Stuart.
Designed for driving enthusiasts who appreciate good food, great roads, and relaxed camaraderie, the route offers suggested paths and waypoints so you can travel entirely at your own pace. Spaces for this popular club tradition are highly limited, so members are encouraged to register their interest early to secure a spot.
Starting on 5th September in Oban, gateway to the Hebridean Islands and home to the Oban Distillery. We will overnight here before taking the ferry across to the Isle of Mull.
The Isle of Mull claims to have some of the finest and most varies scenery in the Inner Hebrides. As birds of prey soar overhead, we will head up the Isle to Tobermory taking in Duart Castle. After overnighting here we return by ferry for a further night in Oban.
The following day, we will head south towards Tarbert, an attractive fishing village and the gateway to Kintyre. Spending two nights here will enable us to tour this peninsular visiting Tarbert Castle and the Mull of Kintyre – immortalised by Paul MacCartney.
Our tour will then take us from Tarbert to Dunoon via the ferry from Tarbert to Portavadie, we will spend the last two nights in Dunoon. From here we will visit the Isle of Bute. Visits here hope to include Rothesay Castle and Mount Stuart.
Our tour will conclude on Saturday 12th September when we make our way home.

All road runs associated with this event are classified as a social run as defined by MotorSport UK. There is no competitive element. The route offered is a suggestion. You are free to follow whatever route you wish. It is incumbent upon each individual taking part in the run to ensure they comply with all aspects of the road traffic laws at all times. If you get separated from your group at any time, ‘waypoints’ are provided for the next official stop point so you can catch up at your own pace.
