Supercar Fest The Runway

Supercar Fest The Runway

We are delighted to invite Club Members to Supercar Fest the Runway on 28 – 29 May 2022 with reserved parking for your Lotus in the Club Display + 2 general entrance tickets.

After the huge success of the Runway in 2021, Supercar Fest are back in 2022 with an even bigger and better event across 2 days! Expect more supercars, more action, improved viewing areas, big screens and some incredible exhibitor stands. And due to popular demand the First Point Hypercar Zone will expand to 50+ hypercars rarely seen on the road!

Once again our Runway event will see the supercars go head to head where the speed trap will record their speeds which will be shown on the new giant screen next to the start line and the new 3 tier viewing platform. One will be released and then seconds later the ‘chaser’ will try and catch the lead car as they make a long right hand turn onto the 1km runway. Expect some high speed action as the owners show the crowds what their supercars can really do!

As well as the runway action there will of course be plenty more happening across the 2 day event; enjoy unrestricted access to the supercar paddock where you can get up close and personal with the supercars and meet their owners. And don’t miss some very exclusive and interesting displays and demonstrations of some very rare racing cars.

Aside from the cars, you and the family can enjoy 2 nights of camping on site (Friday and Saturday), listen to some live music on Saturday evening and grab something to eat from our food truck village, enjoy a drink at one of the onsite bars and visit one of our many interactive exhibitor stands.

Weymouth Fish and Chip Run

Weymouth Fish and Chip Run

Weymouth Fish and Chip Run

The annual Lotus Drivers Club Fish and Chip run was started 9 years ago in 2012 with the first few runs to Hunstanton. The event has grown in popularity each year since – in 2017 visiting Llandudno for the first time and moving to Weymouth in the subsequent years from 2018. In 2022 on Saturday 18 June we will once again be visiting the immaculate Weymouth seafront, voted the number 1 beach in the UK in the TripAdvisor Travellers Choice Awards for 2017 and also ranked 9th best beach in Europe. With beautiful golden sands, safe shallow waters, action-packed events programme and pretty harbourside you certainly won’t be disappointed!

Alongside our visit, the Weymouth & Portland Armed Forces Day celebrations also start on Saturday when a display of historic military vehicles will gather at the Weymouth Pavilion forecourt and will remain on public display until they depart in convoy along the Weymouth Seafront to the Osprey Leisure Centre where an afternoon of 1940’s inspired entertainment, displays and exhibitions will take place.

Privileged display parking along the Weymouth Esplanade in front of the iconic Jubilee clock has been organised for members and will be available from 9:30 am – 3 pm. Booking for this year’s Fish and Chip run is essential as places are limited! Places are available to members at £10 per car and can be booked using the link below. Marshals will be on hand to direct you to your parking place ensuring everyone adheres to a strict 5 mph speed limit.

If you would like to contact us about this event or would like to volunteer as a marshal, please get in touch by emailing c.jones@lotusdriversclub.org.uk

Event registration is charged per car.
